At Safari Surf School we know there are large groups or families looking for a great “value” package with all the amenities and activities all wrapped up into one complete package. With that in mind, we have put together the ultimate vacation package called the “Pura Vida” Package.

Getting There
There are two main “ports” of entry into Costa Rica, San Jose (SJO) and Liberia (LIR). Liberia is logistically closer to Nosara so we do recommend if possible, flying in and out of LIR. If you fly into LIR you will be met by a Safari Surf respresentative who will shuttle drive you to Nosara. The drive is approximately 2 + hours.
If you fly into San Jose (SJO), upon your arrival into San Jose (SJO) you’ll be traveling to Nosara via a commuter flight, or a private chartered flight. We do have a shuttle taxi service for those who prefer to drive. A Safari Surf School shuttle drive would meet your party outside of customs and shuttle you all to Nosara. This transportation option will actually reduce your overall package pricing (See details). Once you arrive in Nosara a Safari Surf School representative will be there to greet you, and escort you to your home away from home!
Accommodations
Every great and memorable vacation starts with quality accommodations. At Safari Surf, we understand this, and are proud to offer a variety of options to suit any group’s needs! We offer a choice between some of the most amazing custom home rentals in Playa Guiones, Nosara (all within a short walk to the beach and Safari Surf’s base of operations – Hotel Casa Tucan). Here is a list of the custom homes:
NOTE: If guests prefer to stay at a hotel in lieu of a custom home, Safari Surf can accommodate this as a special request and a price adjustment.
Surfing
Each morning we will meet at the Hotel Casa Tucan where fresh coffee and juice along with a fruit platter and some other treats await. Then we will have the surfboards gathered and waxed up and off to the beach we go.
You’ll be immersed in oceanography, safety, and surf instruction (based on your skill level) during your lessons. The equipment is yours to use throughout your stay. You are welcome to change equipment throughout your stay. We do reserve the right to hold a client back if the waves and / or weather are too dangerous and could put our guest(s) in harm’s way.
Food
Who in their right mind wants to cook on vacation! Food choices in the area of Nosara are limitless. It doesn’t matter if you are a vegetarian, vegan or meat lover; Gluten free fanatic, or have a bevy of allergies…there is an amazing array of food choices for everyone in Nosara. The fresh seafood alone is worth the trip! Your accommodations will include a personal chef on hand each day to prepare lunch. Your breakfast will be at the Hotel Casa Tucan with full menu access. For dinner, you will be escorted in and around Nosara to a variety of different restaurants. Once again you will have full menu access at each location. Dinner includes appetizers, main course, and dessert. For the adults, dinner also includes a choice of 3 beers or 2 glasses of wine. Safari Surf is bent on making sure your trip is ideal for you…that is why we are so flexible and can make changes on the fly if need be. You can mix and match where you go for dinner (you can go out on the town with the group some nights and/or other nights have the chef do a special dinner or BBQ at your home where you can relax with your family or friends). Your custom home will be stocked full of food snacks and non- alcoholic beverages for the duration of your stay. You provide us with a list of foods and beverages and we’ll stock the house for you!
Transportation
In Costa Rica it is nice to check things out by foot, but it is even better with two full sized ATVs or golf carts! These will be yours for the duration of the trip. Whether you just want to go check out the waterfalls, cruise around town, or go from point A to point B…you’ll have the freedom to explore while you are there!
NOTE: we can substitute the ATV’s or Golf carts for a full size car rental if you prefer.
Activities
It wouldn’t be a vacation without exploring some of the amazing activities available in and around Nosara! Safari Surf has put together a list of some excellent activities to spice up your trip. You will have your choice of (4) of the activities below included in your package…they include the following:

Pricing
Pricing below is good year round but excludes “PEAK” season dates such as Christmas / NYE, and Easter Week. Please inquire for pricing those dates.
- 4 persons = $3100 per person
- 5 persons = $2925 per person
- 6 persons = $2825 per person
- 7 persons = $2750 per person
- 8 persons = $2650 per person

Important Information:
Lodging
If you are looking for “PEAK” season dates to book, please be advised to book at least 4 to 6 months in advance as these homes we use are some of the premier rental homes in all of Nosara and tend to get booked quickly as they are popular. We recommend even in non-peak dates that getting the lodging aspect of your trip booked at least 3
months in advance if not earlier!!
Alcohol
Safari Surf can add any alcoholic beverages you would like to the package. We set a dollar amount and add this onto the package. You provide us a list of items you want the house stocked with, and we will purchase and stock the home.
