So, this November we’re throwing a giant birthday bash! The cake will be big enough to hold all 25 candles. We’d love to have you to join us here in Nosara, Costa Rica as we bring the community together, blow out the candles and help out two organizations close to our hearts!
We’ve got a lot planned throughout the multi-day occasion. It promises to be a wonderful time sharing stories and laughter with community leaders and fellow surf enthusiasts who have been part of our journey the last 25 years.
Headlining the celebration will be a special concert by International recording artist and good friend, G Love.

We are so proud and humbled to be able to tell you about this incredible milestone. We almost decided not to share it until friends and clients prodded, encouraged and reminded us to speak up and toot our own horn a bit. So, okay Beep, Beep!
A quarter of a century is a long time. While spending all that time in a tropical jungle (even as it is paradise) we racked up quite a collection of stories: a few “oh crap” moments, bunches of warm-n-fuzzies and tons of learning. When we started Safari Surf School, we had no idea where the adventure would ultimately take us. We just knew Nosara was a special place with remarkable people.
Also that we wanted to do right by the community; be as sustainable as possible and give back to others. These beliefs became pillars in the foundation of our business and we took joy in sharing them with others. If anything, teaching people to surf was third on the list of important take-aways that we shared with our guests over the years. We hear it from families all the time, “we came here to learn to surf, we return year-after-year because of the surrounding beauty and the staff.”

- November 15th – Charity night fundraiser at Tierra Magnifica for Dream Catchers Nosara and IAR Costa Rica
- Join us for an exclusive evening as we roll back through 25 years of Safari Surf memories. Mix and mingle with long-time local residents as we share stories of what life was like back in the day before paved roads and tuk-tuks.
- Live music and special performance by G Love
- Craft cocktails and passed appetizers
- Silent auction, giveaways and the best views in town
- November 16th – Concert under the stars at the Nosara El Pueblo.
- Join us for a night of live music and community spirit as the anniversary celebration continues.
- G Love gets his groove on for a performance that brings together the entire town
- The night of celebration and great music is open to the public
- Proceeds from the show will also benefit Dream Catchers Nosara and IAR Costa Rica
